It is a long weekend for most. It is the start of the busy season on the highways, please be careful, don’t drink and drive and be mindful of others.
DARE Day is at RCES on Friday, June 1! All children are welcome to come and enjoy the fun. There will be lots of fire equipment and safety items for the children to see and participate in. My kids always have a great time, and Jeff Brown puts a lot of hard work into the whole day, thank you to him for all he do£s for the children of our county.
The Amissville Fire Department usually has the best box dinners around during carnival! If you can help in any way with donations or helping out in the kitchen, please contact Sarah Latham at 937-4410.
Amissville Volunteer Fire Department Carnival dates are June 27-30„ Tickets for the Queen and her court are available from Sandi Carter; you can call 937-4218. The ages are as follows: Little Miss 3-7, Junior Miss 8-12, Little Mister 3-7, and Queen 13-20.

Vacation Bible School dates for the Amissville Baptist Church are July 9-13, from 9 a.m. to noon. The theme this year is Soncreek Junction. It is a cowboy related theme.
