Plans for 4th underway
The Fourth of July Planning Committee for RAAC is busy planning activities to be held on Wednesday, July 4 in the town of Washington.
There will be a parade, hopefully bigger and better than last year’s. All types of marchers, bands, floats, tractors, antique vehicles, animals of all types, etc. are more than welcome to participate. The parade time and line-up arrangements will be announced closer to the Fourth. 4th of July at Great Meadow
A roaring 4th of July event has been planned lor Wednesday. July 4 at Great Meadow. Gates will open at 4 pm. Featured activities will include fireworks choreographed . to music, airshows, parachute skydiving, hot air balloon rides, live music, petting zoo, Goodyear Blimp, hayrides and a special U.S. Armed Forces mock tank battle. Admission is $25 per car in advance and $40 per car at the gate. Proceeds from this event go toward making possible free year-round use of Great i Meadow by non-profit community groups. Page Demolition Derby set
Applications are now being accepted for the demolition derby to be held Friday, Aug. 24 during the Page Valley Fair. , Cars may include any American made stock, hardtop automobile or station wagon, however, no Chrysler Imperials 1966 ? or older, no oversized Cadillac, no Checker cabs, no trucks, * no jeeps, no hearses, and no limousines are permitted.
