• Many thanks to Mrs. Susan Fox and Mrs. Janet Long for their diligence and hard work in planning and carrying out the RCHS Mayfest. We are extremely grateful to all who volunteered their time, energy, talent and/or materials or equipment to make this day a success for our students. We are very grateful to all of you.
• If you are the parent of an RCES student or a community friend, please consider helping with DARE/Field Day on Friday, June 1. DARE activities will begin at 9:30 and end at 1 p.m. Field Day activities will begin at 9 a.m. with the Mile Rim on the hill by the school. Other events will run throughout the day until 3 p.m. Please plan to attend. If you can help with either event, please rail Jan Makela, Volunteer Coordinator, at 987-8259, or just plan to come and cheer on our young athletes and enjoy the day.
Many thanks to Captain Jeff Brown and Ms. Carol Nowakoski for their tremendous efforts in coordinating the day’s events, and to all volunteers that have so willingly agreed to assist.
• RCES P.E. teacher Carol Nowakoski has just announced a White Oak Canyon Field Trip for all students that passed all of their Physical Fitness Tests this spring. Third- Fifth Grades will go on June 8; SixthSeventh Grades will go on June 11. Please watch for notices and permission slips that will be sent home soon with the children that qualified. Your child should know whether or not he or she is eligible for this trip, but if you have questions, please call Ms. Nowakoski at 987-8259.
