third on his Rhode Island Reds. Elizabeth Pratt won sixth place in Showmanship, first place and Reserve Best of Breed with her Rhode Island Red, and first place on both of her Buff and Barred Plymouth Rock hens.
The Beef Show was on Thursday evening with everyone enjoying the cool breezes and welcome rain brought to the Farm Fair and surrounding area. Katie Updike went out with a bang in her last year of competition! She won Grand Champion Market Steer, Champion Bred and Owned Steer, Champion Heavy Weight Steer, Champion Medium Weight Steer, first place in Light Weight Market Steers and Champion Commercial Heifer Award.
David Massie won Reserve Champion Bred and Owned Steer, Reserve Champion Heavy Weight Steer, second place in Heavy Weight Steers and Medium Weight Steers and fifth in the Senior Showmanship class.
