Rappahannock National Bank Wednesday ending a 40-year career that has seen many changes in banking. She plans to spend the beginning of her retirement “cleaning out 40 years worth of accumulation at home.” Perhaps this fall she and her husband, W.L. Payne, a retired mail carrier, will take a trip across the country. She and her husband will continue to help son, Bill Payne with his auctions (where she acts as cashier).
