Donald B. Gore, assistant resident engineer at the Dillwyn residence, has been transferred to a similar post at Warrenton, according to the Virginia Department of Highways and Transportation.
New officers of Rappahannock Lions Club recently installed include Carson Johnson, second vice president; John Schultz, tail twister; R. Ashton Baines, president; A1 Doub, secretary; Raymond Johnson, Director; Sid Mank, Lion Tamer; Charlie Eldred, third vice president and Hugh Chrisman, treasurer.
Newest additions to the ranks of the county’s tennis enthusiasts are Britney Lee, Bob Baines, Eric Bear, Greg Smith, Lee Baines, Louis Moore, Chad Bear and Leslie Nichols. All the young people are participating in a tennis ladder tournament organized by Jean Lillard. Eric, Bob and Lee finished one, two and three in an earlier round robin competition.
Everette Kline is the new forester for Rappahannock County, replacing Lyt Wood who resigned earlier this summer.
