The ordinance requires that all such outdoor lighting be allowed only upon the issuance of a permit, and it requires that permit applications include: a site plan that shows buildings, landscaping, parking areas, and proposed outdoor lighting fixtures; specifications of all illuminating devices; and the locations of all pole and building mounted fixtures and a photometric report.
The draft outdoor lighting ordinance will again be discussed at the August meeting of the Planning Commission, and a public hearing on the ordinance will be scheduled after the Commission has concluded its work on the draft.
