Mark your calendars for Saturday, Sept. 15 and make reservations now to attend Headwaters’ third annual fundraiser, “Taste of Rappahannock”. Proceeds from this event will support the maqy projects sponsored by Headwaters that directly benefit our county’s public school students.

The “Taste of Rappahannock” will again take plqoe at the Washington School on Mjt. Salem Avenue in Washington. Due to limited seating, no move than 200 tickets will be sold.

This year’s fundraiser vyijl be a tribute to one of Headwaters’ founding investors, Jeff MacNelly (1947-2000), -a three-time Pulitzer Prize winner and editorial cartoonist extraordinaire.

A cartoon drawn expressly for this year’s “Taste pf Rappahannock” dinner, was completed shortly before Jeff’s death in June 2000. It was his very last creation, and is under copyright. As a means of raising funds for Headwaters, Susan MacNelly has generously contributed a limited edition of twenty prints of the cartoon, J
