I have a couple of questions
for some of the elders and youngsters of our community.
Why are you flying the Confederate Battle Flag? What does it mean to you? Is there a less offensive way to symbolize your heritage?
Say you are from Georgia, could you fly a flag depicting the Georgia state bird? Wouldn’t this be friendlier to your neighbor?

to take
the risk
s a farmer, landowner and xxresident of Rappahannock County I cannot understand why any landowner would take the risk of applying sludge to their land.
I can remember when arsenic of lead, D.D.T. and mercury were used in orchards. The experts approved their use. They were wrong then and they could be now.
The only significant profit we have ever made in agriculture is the appreciation of our land values.
Personally I am not willing to take the risk.
