Holiday closings
The Rappahannock County government offices and the Rappahannock Public Schools will be closed on Monday, May 27 in observance of Memorial Day.
The Rappahannock National Bank, the Rappahannock. Library and the Rappahannock News will also be closed.
Early deadlines will be observed for the May 29 issue of the News. All ads must reach the office by 2 p.m. on Friday, May 24.

• Friday, May 31 DARE Day at RCES coordinated by DARE Officer Captain Jeff Brown, will begin in front of the school at 9:30 a.m. and will end at 1 p.m. Field Day events are organized by PE. teacher Carol Nowakoski. These events will be held behind the school and on the hill by the School Board Office from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
• Monday, June 3 the Rappahannock Board of Supervisors will meet at 2 and 7 p.m. at the Rappahannock Courthouse.
