We’re glad to hear that Mrs. Grade McGuire has returned to her regency at Culpeper Health Center, following surgery in Culpeper Regional Hospital.
Mrs. Ray Frazier of Turkey Ridge Road accompanied by Mrs. Alvin Atkins of Sperryville and Mrs Brenda Frazier of Culpeper were shoppers in Fredericksburg on Saturday and dined at Old Country Buffet.
An oratorical contest held on May 7 sponsored by the Salem Ruritan Club for sixth and seventh grade students in Culpeper and Rappahannock Counties announced as winners Joy Heddleston of Sperryville and Spencer Meads of Culpeper. Joy, a sixth grade student is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jon Heddleston and Spencer is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Meads. Mr. Thom Pellikaan, a Boston farm owner was one of the judges. A very timely subject, “What Patriotism Means to Me”, was the topic for the contest.
