Twenty-one of the 32 teams met the goal of raising $1,000 each.

As of 8:30 a.m., a total of $51,234 was raised but the eventual total is expected to be higher as funds continue to come in. Prayer Power led by Bill Campbell raised a total of $8,150, the most of any team. Carolyn’s Love, Laugh and Live Team led by Carolyn Leake raised a total of $5,944 for second place. And Ester Settle’s Faith Warriors led by Tamara Settle were in third place with $4,909.

Becky Atkins, a member of the Bennie Lee Atkins Team, raised $1,695, the largest amount for any individual.

Thus, another successful Relay event was completedproving once again that people from Rappahannock can do good and have fun, rain or shine.
