ow sad it was to read in X Xthe May 9, 2002 issue of the Rappahannock News that Mr. Joe Ferine, Principal of the Rappahannock County High School had “quit”.
Only a few times did I have the opportunity to speak with Mr. Perine on the telephone, but was very impressed for several reasons. Some of those reasons being: he returned my call himself, which had not been my experience in past years, (several times in the past not even getting a return call until I had left two to three messages and sometimes not ever getting a return call).
Mr. Perine not only went above and beyond what I would expect from a principal to help solve the situation at hand but he also called me (without my prompting with a message) to see how the situation was coming along.
But more than any of those things which could be said to be just part of his job, there was
