Thanks to an invitation from the Rappahannock League for Environmental Protection (RLEP) , 15th District Delegate Allen Louderback had an opportunity, on May 16, to update local residents on activities in the Virginia House of Delegates and to express his views on issues ranging from protection of the environment to the Dillon Rule.
Delegate Louderback was introduced by RLEP President Boo Lander, who noted that Mr. Louderback was “interested in hearing from you” and so the event was designed as an informal and open forum.
Before taking questions from the audience, Del. Louderback updated attendees on his activities in Richmond, and provided some insight into his job perspective. He said that he is currently serving on three House committees: Finance; Militia and Police and Public Safety; and Agriculture, Chesapeake and Natural Resources, and noted that committees had been combined in this session to enhance the efficiency of State legislature activities.
He noted too the importance of each of his committee assignments to his constituents, and he commented on the prospective effectiveness of the Agriculture, Chesapeake and Natural Resources Committee that, because of its disparate and contrasting elements, will result in consen
