William Printz of Amissville, who is an agent for People’s Life Insurance Company, attended the Life Insurance Underwriters Congress held Friday in Washington, D.C. at the Sheraton Park Hotel. Over 1,000 agents were present for the meeting. Mr. Printz was the lucky winner of the door prize given, a weeks all-expense paid vacation for two in Las Vegas. Nev.
Raymond Johnson served as the guide and chaperone for a hike on Sunday sponsored by the R.A. boys of Woodville Baptist Church. Enjoying the hike along Stony Man Trail in Shenandoah National Park were Betty and Shirley Dodson, Merle Dulaney. Sandra Orange, Tommy Sisk, Leslie and Michael Titchenell and Rev. B.G. Titchenell.
In a photo, Luther Payne has construction underway on his new garage, just east of Washington. Along with Mr. Payne was the contractor, T.R. Patterson of Front Royal.
Sunny Side of Washington was the setting of an “after-the-prom” party Saturday night when Mrs. Downing Wood entertained for her daughters, Misses Nancy and Alice Wood. Some 85 young people were present.
