Miss Atkins was bom Dec. 17, 1940 in Flint Hill, daughter of Helen Atkins of Flint Hill and the late Isaac Nelson Atkins Sr. She was a member of Flint Hill United Methodist Church.
Miss Atkins was retired from Bell Atlantic in Falls Church.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by two brothers, Isaac Nelson Atkins Jr. and Lynn Jackson Atkins, both of Flint Hill; two nieces, one nephew, three greatnieces and two great-nephews.

Joseph Hill Atkins, 77, of Sperryville died Saturday, May 18 at his residence.
He was born Dec. 31, 1924 in Sperryville, a son of the late Jackson Atkins and Treva Clater Atkins.
He is surviv ed by his wife of 36 years, Mary Catherine Jenkins Atkins.
Graveside services were conducted on Monday, May 20 at Sperryville Cemetery with Rev. John K. Burke officiating.
Found and Sons Funeral Chapel of Culpeper was in charge of the arrangements.
