National Emergency Medical Service Week (May 1925) is a celebration to honor approximately 750,000 EMS providers nationwide who deliver lifesaving emergency care, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
This year’s theme, “Help is a Heartbeat Away” addresses the successes and the challenges our EMS service organizations face today—not only in responding quickly and effectively to medical emergencies, but also to meeting special local needs and the ongoing challenge of educating the public in how to live safe and healthy lives.
