RUNNING OVER: This Imperial Stout is but one of about 20 beers that Bardo Brewery creates. in Amissville. “I was in Russia and Latvia, and they had farm breweries all over the place,” he stated. “And that’s what we thought we’d do here. And people like it and come out and people from the city come out.” Stewart said that he’s cut the size of the brewery from the one he had in Arlington. “I had 60 employees, and I didn’t want to be running a business with 60 employees,” he explained. Still, one can tell that he gets a kick out of his microbrewery.
“It’s fun to make beer and to hang out with people having fun,” he said. The Bardo Brewery Web site is www.bardorodeo.com. The brewery is open Friday from 5 to 9 p.m., on Saturday from noon to 9 p.m:, and on Sunday from noon to 6 p.m. Directions to the brewery are available on the Web site.
