There has recently occurred a vacancy on the Rappahannock County School Board for Hampton Magisterial District.
Under the laws of the Commonwealth, this vacancy must be filled by the School Board within 45 days.
Any registered voter who is a resident of Hampton District is eligible for appointment by the School Board to this unexpireo term (through December 31. 2003). In order to be considered for appointment, an nterested individual must make hisfier desires known in writing bv Tuesday. Such notification of interest must contain your name, address, telephone number, and declaration that you are a registered voter m your district. Also, you should list your community experience, your interest m Rappahannock County Schools (or other schools) and any recent involvement in school or educational activities.
Further, please include a brief statement, (two paragraphs or less) why you wish to be considered for this position.
A public hearing will be held by the School Board for the purpose of considering those interested in this appointment at a special meeting for that purpose in the Band Room at the Rappahannock County High School on Tuesday. December 17. 2002 ai 7:30 P M.
No person whose name was not considered at a public hearing may be eligible for appointment bv the School Board.
