and have been friends of the Frazier families for many years.

The Reva Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department building was the setting on Monday evening for the 55th anniversary celebration of the Business and Professional Women’s Club of Culpeper. The club was organized in November 1947 and two weeks later had gained fifty members of which thirty-six of the original members have passed away. One of our native Boston daughters, Louise (Smith) Batten is a member of the club.

We’d like to congratulate Mrs. Shirley Settle Wise of Reva area as she was honored for her 30 years as a school bus driver for Culpeper County Schools, this taking place at the School Board meeting on Monday evening.

Happy birthday to Tony Tharp of Salem as he celebrates on Sunday and we extend wishes to Buddy Grigsby and Johnny Bragg both of whom shared the day on Wednesday.

Miss Amanda Smith, here in Boston and Miss Cindy Hurt of Reva are both freshmen at Liberty University in Lynchburg.
