Santa Claus will visit the Rappahannock Library on Dec. 16 and will have little presents to give and refreshments to pass. His helpers, Martin Woodard and Terry Waggner are going to read a Christmas story while the Sacred Harp Group fills the Library with songs and cheer.
The Rappahannock County Fire and Rescue Association has elected the following officers to serve for the coming year: Paul Poling, Amissville, president; Frankie Huff, Flint Hill, vice-president; Charles Manson, secretary and Brad Fisher, treasurer, both of Washington. Fourteen members were present and represented four of the six companies in the county.
Boy Scout Troop 123 of Washington will hold a Christmas sale on the weekends of Dec. 10 and Dec. 17 at Trinity Episcopal Church in Washington. They will be selling Christmas trees, baked goods and tree ornaments.
Leonard Edwards of Woodville bagged a big buck last week with a rifle in that area. The antlers spanned over 21 inches. While hunting Mr. Edwards also found a pair of perfect antlers lying on the ground in the woods.
