Beverly Leathers, Director of Social Services praises Rappahannock County Community for, “always responding generously to ensure that our less fortunate citizens are remembered and well taken care of during this festive time of year.”

“Often people donate to causes and never truly know how the money was used or if it even had a direct impact.” Mrs. Leathers remarked. “When you donate here you can feel assured that you have given direct assistance to brighten the holidays for someone in your community.”

All donations are used to aid families in need, elderly citizens and the foster children of the county in having a Merry Christmas!

Rappahannock County DSS staff anticipates a huge outpouring from the kind open hearted members of the Rappahannock community.

The Office is open daily from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m., donations are accepted in person at the office at 354 Gay Street or may be mailed to P.O. Box 87 Washington, Va. 22747-0087.

Donations will be accepted until Friday Dec. 20, 2002. The Office will close for Christmas on Tuesday Dec. 24. Any community members with questions may call the office at 6753313.

The Rappahannock Social Service staff would like to take this opportunity to thank community members in advance for rising to the occasion and aiding in this endeavor.
