More easement

protection

The two most recent conservation easement donations to the Virginia Outdoors Foundation bring to 14,377 acres the countywide total of land protected in this manner, or 10.6% of all private property in Rappahannock.

Both were recorded on Dec. 20. The Dillon Family Trust placed under easement 104 acres on the eastern slope of Schoolhouse Mountain along Hawlin Road.

Thomas and Sallie Morgan added 121 acres to the Gid Brown Hollow-Jenkins Mountain easement cluster.
