The students at Sursum Corda School recently visited the Rappahannock County Registrar’s office and learned what steps are necessary to become a registered voter. Mrs. Mary Cleverly, registrar, explained the procedures and requirements to them. Amissville Ruritan officers were installed for the coming year at a meeting on Wednesday evening. They are T.C. Barron, presidents Louis Jenkins, vice president; Bobby V Bywaters, secretary; Charles Mills, treasurer and George Kidwell, 3-year director. A photo featured the living nativity set up in the bam on Avondale Farm, owned by Mr. and Mrs. George H. Davis Jr. east of Washington. The event was realistically portrayed by members of the Methodist Churches in Rappahannock County. Various members took half hour stances in the pageant while in the background live animals, sheep, a goat and two donkeys completed the realistic setting.
