Dennis, 78, of Amissville died Jan. 23 at INOVA Hospital in Fairfax.
He was bom April 18, 1925 in Hagerstown, Md., to the late Rev. William Benton Dennis and the late Alice Zombro Dennis.
Mr. Dennis was a veteran, serving as a Staff Sergeant in the U. S. Marine Corps. He retired from WJLA-TV7 after 42 years as a NABET Broadcast Engineer.
During his retirement Mr. Dennis was an avid builder and pilot of radio-controlled airplanes. He was a member of NVRC Fliers of Northern Virginia, Skyline Fliers of Culpeper and R/C Fliers of Venice, Fla.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Gloria.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Eleanor Dennis; two sons, Wayne L. Dennis of Charles Town, W. Va. and T. J. Dennis of Sperryville; nine
