I am writing this in response
to the Jan. 15 article in the Rappahannock News, “County’s 911 emergency dispatch system under fire” and the charges leveled against Sheriff Larry Sherertz and his department by Amissville Fire Department Chief J.B. Carter and President Jack Atkins both of whom have zero law enforcement training.
We in the county must remember that the Sheriff’s deputies are human and will make mistakes. I am sure, though it tries its hardest, even the Amissville Fire
