Eric Byron Smith and Crystal Renee Leake were married on Dec. 24 in an evening ceremony at Sperryville United Methodist Church. It was performed by the Rev. Jon Heddleston.
Crystal is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stephen M. Leake of Sperryville and Mr. and Mrs. Harry A. Newlin of Flint Hill. Eric is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Johnnie B. Smith of Boston.
The bride is the granddaughter of Mrs. Lecie Leake and the late Roy B. Leake of Sperryville and Mr. and Mrs. Turner Foster of Culpeper, and the late Harry Brown Settle.
The groom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Atkins of Sperryville, Mr. and Mrs. George Hagerty of South Carolina and Tbm Brown of .Colonial Beach, Va.
The couple chose an intimate Christmas Eve wedding with immediate family and close friends. The bride was given in marriage by her father.
Jennifer Deal of Sperryville, sister of the bride, served as the matron of honor. Johnnie Smith, father of the groom, served as the best man. R. T. Leake, brother of the bride and Alex Deal, nephew of the bride, served as ring bearers.
