The Packing Shed Gallery in Little Washington is pleased to welcome Sperryville artist Ann Georgia McCaffray whose exhibit, “This Side Up,” will be on view for the month of April.
All are invited to the opening receptions on Saturday, April 3 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. and on Sunday, April 4 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
McCaffray has been living in Rappahannock for the past eight years.
“I was bom and raised in Seattle and never thought I’d see anything as beautiful as the varied topography of the west coast—but I was wrong,” she said.
“Rappahannock County has been a revelation. Not only the deep quiet of the countryside with saturated greens you can almost swim through in June, but the bugs, snakes and cicadas—there’s nothing like it on the west coast. Night noises and lightning bugs are my idea of heaven. The spaces are close, intimate and teaming with life. . . .1 love it.”
