George W. Jenkins
Sperryville resident
George William Jenkins, 85, of Sperryville died March 17 at the Culpeper Health and Rehabilitation Center.
He was bom April 5,1918 to the late Virgil and Ada Jenkins.
Mr. Jenkins retired from the Virginia Department of Transportation. He enjoyed farming and was a member of Luray Pentecostal Church.
Mr. Jenkins was preceded in death by a daughter, Bessie Jenkins; a grandson, Ray Jenkins; a great-granddaughter, Charlee Jenkins; three brothers, Ennis, Harry and Haywood; and a sister, Emma Jenkins.
He is survived by his wife of 69 and half years, Bessie Ellen Jenkins; four sons George' Raymond of Suffolk, Va., Charles of Sperryville, Clifton “Tippy” of Sperryville and James of Orange; and one daughter, Mary Wines of Front Royal. i
