Finally, after a tragic accident on Jan. 12 at the intersection of Routes 618 and 649, when a collision occurred between R. Lee Payne’s tractor and Michael Hitt’s truck, and after spending over two months in Fairfax INOVA Hospital, Michael Hitt has returned to his residence in Linden. As for the accident, Mr. Payne was found guilty of failure to yield the right of way and was fined by the court. He has appealed the finding of guilt in the General District Court.
Hitt is taking physical therapy in Winchester. His recovery is slow, but he is making progress. The Hitt family appreciates all the support it has received from our community and asks that you continue to keep them in your prayers. As for the accident, Mr. Payne was found guilty of failure to yield the right of way and was fined by the court.
