Mrs. Creel was preceded in death by her husband, Maynard P. Creel.
She is survived by two daughters, Kim Leigh Edwards Newcamp of Rappahannock and Lisa Marie Edwards Moore of Baltimore, Md., and six grandchildren.
Additional survivors include four sisters, Elizabeth Ann Jenkins, Linda Mae Glascock, Shirley Frances Glascock and Bridget S. Crane, seven nieces and eight nephews and a special loved one, Frank Hoffman, who was like a father to her.
A funeral service was held March 22 at Culpeper United Methodist Church with the Rev. John W. Crawford, III officiating. Interment followed in Fairview Cemetery in Culpeper.
