Artist Jeanne Drevas of Sperryville has had a work of fiber art accepted into the Fiberart International show in Pittsburgh, Pa.

From 1,600 entries by 624 artists from 25 countries, Drevas’ piece titled, “Planet III,” was accepted as one of 62 inclusions in liie show.

Drevas works with natural materials and “Planet III” is constructed of broom com and white pine bark.

She , had another work accepted for inclusion in the Fiberarts Design Book 7, a series documenting the evolution of contemporary textile art since 1980. Fiberarts Design Book 7 will be released by Lark Books, Asheville, N. C. this Spring.

Drevas’ work will be shown at Long View Gallery in Sperryville in April.
