scrimmage game that was shortened due to rain on March 9. The JV Panthers completed in four other games throughout the month of March.
In one game, Crystal Heflin made seven strikeouts, and in another, she and Breanna Payne had two hits apiece. According to Coach Lisbon, “Noel Johns scattered eight hits in picking up the win for the panthers,” in the March 25 game against Page. In a separate game, Jessica Lee, Nicole ■Brown, and Elvira Yanez each had two hits.
In the month of April, the JV Panthers had seven games. In the first one, Crystal Heflin had two hits and struck out 10 opponents. In another, Meagan Smith, Noel Johns, Jessica Lee and Breanna Payne had three hits apiece. In a rather eventful game, Nicole Brown had two hits, one of which was a double, Jessica Lee added two hits and scored three runs, and on another night, Paula Raney had three hits while Nicole Brown had two doubles.
The team played in five games in May. One night, Crystal Heflin had 12 strikeouts and allowed only one hit. She also made two hits and three runs. The May 14 game against Madison proved to be an exciting one. Noel Johns had three hits and scored three times, while Ashleigh Lamma had two hits and Kin Hutcheson went 1 for 2. In a different game, both Meagan Smith and Ashley Vest had two hits.
The team finished the season with a win over George Mason, in which Nicole Brown and Crystal Heflin had three hits apiece. They beat the Strasburg Rams, 6-2, on May 27.
