The Amissville Volunteer Fire and Rescue Company presents its annual Carnival June 23 through June 26 — and the big parade, with 100 different units, is set for 7 p.m. on Thursday, June 24.
The Carnival is from 7 o’clock to midnight each night - rain or shine. There will be bingo and instant bingo. And look at this lineup of games:

Don’t forget the French Fries and the Funnel Cakes.
In addition the Raffle Booth will be open - Grand Prize $1,500.
There will be a silent auction of a snazzy Jayco camping trailer. The trailer opens to sleep six, and is in excellent condition. It is on view at the Fire Station on Route 211 in Amissville.
Winners of the Grand Prize Raffle and the Silent Auction will be announced at the Carnival’s climax on Saturday night.
The Queen of the Carnival and the Little Miss will be crowned on Friday night. Hurry and get your entries in by calling 540-937-4218.
