relationships continue on through the high school years. Starfish is proud to graduate its first youth this year. She has grown through the program over several years and will attend college in the fall.
The Starfish program provides a wealth of resources to assist mentors in their task. Initial training is required of all mentors, with three additional annual training programs offered a year. All mentors go through criminal background checks to assure that the mentors are indeed safe with children.
