Residents of Washington, Virginia, who will be driving to the New York World’s Fair this « summer have been invited to visit their sister city in the State of Pennsylvania. Bartley P. Osborne, mayor of Washington, Pa., has issued an official proclamation which extends an open invitation to residents of this area. Washington firemen, who were working at the carnival grounds Monday afternoon, in preparation for the carnival next week, paused for a few minutes rest while a most welcome shower of rain fell to alleviate the intense heat of the day. They are Henry Hudson, Edward Clark, Gibson Wharton, Ricky Lillard and Charlie Jenkins.
