Starfish offers Rappahannock’s youth an opportunity to be involved in a one on one relationship with a caring adult who has the time and interest to spend two to three hours a week with a youth, with the emphasis on being a trusted friend, someone to talk to who accepts them for who they are.
Mentors can open new windows into helping youth create a picture of what they want to be in the future. They can offer tutoring, if that is requested. But most of all a mentor can be a fun person to do things with on a regular basis.
