..By Jeanne Spath Rappahannock News Staff Writer The fate of Clevengers Comer has been put on hold once again by the Culpeper Board of Supervisors. Last week, following the sudden illness of Culpeper County Attorney, Dave Maddox, supervisors, in a 5-2 vote, decided to postpone the public hearing on the Centex Homes’ Clevengers Village proposal until legal counsel could be present. Centex plans to build 766 singlefamily homes and 398,000 sq. ft. of retail office space in Culpeper County at Rt. 229 and U.S. 211. Citizens in Fauquier, Culpeper and - Rappahannock Counties have expressed concern over the last few months about the impeding development which could have impact on traffic and local services and utilities. The public hearing is now slated for 7 p.m., Monday, Jan. 24 in the County Administration Office, North Main Street, Culpeper, Va. Meetings & Notices • On Thursday, Jan. 13, the Washington Architectural Review Board (ARB) will meet at 7:30 p.m. at the Town Hall on Gay Street. • All Rappahannock County government offices will be dosed Friday, Jan. 14 in observance of Lee-Jackson day, and Monday, Jan. 17 in observance of the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday. The offices will reopen on Tuesday, Jan. 18. • On Monday, Jan. 17, the Rappahannock National Bank will be closed in observance of the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday and reopen on Tuesday, Jan. 18. • On Wednesday, Jan. 19 the Rappahannock County Planning Commission will meet at 7:30 p.m. at the Rappahannock County Courthouse on Gay Street.
