In a 4-1 vote, the Rappahannock School Board elected to maintain the previous slate of officers for 2005 at their first meeting of the year Tuesday evening.

Wes Mills will continue as Chairman with Aline Johnson continuing as Vice-Chairman.

Melbry Para to re will serve as clerk, Dr. Robert Chappell, Deputy Clerk and Raye Tupper, Superintendent’s Designee.

School board Headwaters representative Meredith Gorfein reported that Miranda Hope has accepted the position with Headwaters for the Rappahannock College Access Program.

Hope, who was present at the meeting, expressed great enthusiasm in her new position to work with college-bound students and their families. The position is a part of a Jack Kent Cooke Foundation grant that
