Linda Quick and James Harris announced their engagement and wedding on April 1.
The bride-to-be is the daughter of Kevin and Marilyn Quick of the Gold Coast. She is a graduate of Trinity Lutheran College.
The future groom is the son of Jim and Judy Harris of Goode, Va. He is a graduate of Longwood College, Farmville, Va.
Harris’ maternal grandparents are Sarah E. Williams and the late Andrew R. Williams of Chester Gap, and his paternal grandparents are the late Frederick K. and Caroline B. Harris of Front Royal.
The couple met while teaching English in Tbkyo, Japan, and have had many adventures including climbing Mt. Fuji, touring southeast Asia, petting tigers in Thailand, and hiking the Everest trail in Nepal.
