• Second Friday at the Library Series
The second Friday of each month at 8 p.m., RAAC presents fascinating guest speakers on a variety of topics at the Rappahannock Library. Many of RAAC’s guest speakers are published, world authorities in their fields. These are our friends and next-door neighbors, talking to us for free about the most important and interesting topics of our times. From a NASA scientist to the grandson of a Rappahannock County slave, the speakers in the Second Friday at the Library Series are not to be missed.
The next featured guest speaker at the library April 8 will be Dr. Dale Schusterman. This chiropractic physician will talk about his book, “Sign Language of the Soul — A Handbook of Healing.” Everyone wants to be in better balance, be pain free, experience improved health and a greater sense of well-being. Schusterman’s book presents an original, highly effective, self-help procedure that can help you accomplish these things and more.
On May 13 RAAC collaborates with RLEP (Rappahan-' nock League for Environmental Protection) to present “Raptors of Rappahannock.”Lois Napier of the Washington Metropolitan Raptors Society and noted raptor rehabilitator will discuss local birds of prey and their habits and habitats.
Napier will also bring several hawks with her to the event to allow the audience to see these magnificent birds up close.
