Solid Waste Management
This full-time position administers Chapter 1084 of the Codified Ordinances for Solid Waste Collection and Transportation. Conducts all activities related to permitting and compliance of solid waste collection and transportation ordinance. Administers Chapter 1086 of the Codified Ordinances for Solid Waste Reduction and Recycling. Conducts all activities related to compliance with the County’s recycling requirements to residential and nortresidential recycling activities. Conducts outreach activities to regulated community regarding compliance requirements and enforcement consequences. Education and experience equivalent to a Bachelor's degree and 3 years experience in environmental/ physical sciences discipline, and considerable experience in solid waste and environmental management. Considerable experience in dealing with solid waste regulations and environmental compliance. Effective project and contract management skills required. Valid Driver’s License. Computer proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets and relational databases. Ref #03-332. (Hiring Range: $38.965-$52,602/yr).
