If the town chooses to downzone in the revised Comprehensive Plan that is in the early' planning stages now, density would be reduced allowing preservation of the open spaces at the edge of the town.

The display of this alternative could allow an option of 41 additional dwelling units which would be placed on large, country-estate sized acreage.

“You can downzone comprehensively,” Herb said, “in an overall way, but it has to be reasonable use of the property.”
