Boddie Scholarship Committee of Rappahannock County, YA as a means of celebrating the life of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. fcnd ara means of recognizing the efi^rts of local individuals and organizations who aspire to the ideals that Dr. King not only spoke about, but hired, fought and died for: faith, justice/equality, community; 'service and social activism. - There are three categories of awards: •individual adult •individual student (Grades 6-12) •community organization or group (awards will be presented.every other even year; *06, ‘08, etc. Application/Eligibility _ Any resident of Rappahannock County or relative of a resident is eligible for application. Application must be made in : writing via U.S. mail or email (postmarked) on or before the published deadline. Each application should include the fol- § lowing: . . ■ t •no more than 260 words (one-typed page) •cover sheet to include: name, address, phone number, email address of person submitting the application; name, address, phone number, email address of the nominee, two references (with phone numbers or email) who know of the nominee’s work (non relatives) , ^Persons cannot nominate themselves g ^ ; , The review committee may award up to three awards in each category, the committee may also determine that there will be no award for the year in review.
