Facility Field Supervisor

Solid Waste Management

Position schedules and supervises daily activities at Loudoun County Solid Waste Facility site under limited supervision by the Manager of Landfill Operations. The FFS develops work schedules to ensure the necessary personnel and equipment are available to efficiently and effectively support disposal operations, post-closure maintenance, landfill sited Solid Waste Diversion Programs, site security and maintenance operations. The FFS supervises Facility staff to ensure that all tasks are performed on time, within budget and are as required by regulations, permits, and County policy. Conducts routine operational audits and maintains records and reports per procedure. Must be available for rotating schedule of 37.5 hours per week including Saturdays and some holidays. Any combination of education and experience equivalent to Associate degree with courses in applied technology, equipment operation and maintenance, agriculture and/or facilities management and five years experience. A minimum of one year supervisory and/or facilities management experience required. Bachelor degree and extensive landfill operations experience preferred. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of criminal background check, driving record check, valid driver's license in Virginia or regional state of residence.
