2006 Valentines Weekend Event: Our first event for 2006 will be the That’s Amore” dinner that we are planning for Saturday, February 11th. We will be sending out a special in invitation we have the menu set for our first ever sit down wine dinner where we will be pairing our wines with gourmet Italian cuisine. Seating will be limited to 24 people so stay tuned.
Updates from the Winemaker:
2004 Whites: The 2004 Whites have really evolved nicely in the bottle. The changes since your first tastes this past summer have rounded out each of the whites with the most noticeable change occurring to the Barrel Select Chardonnay. As you may know, we were awarded a Gold Ribbon for the Premium Chardonnay.. but you’d better hurry if you want anymore because we now have only 66 cases left (out of 165).
2004 Reds: The Merlot and Estate Cabernet Franc released on 15 October, have really experienced a wonderful softening of tannins revealing unmistakable aromas and tastes. ..Cherry and licorice in our soft bodied Merlot and layers of Blackberry, cherry, spice and a tad of plum in the Cabernet Franc. One suggestion, we only made 154 cases of the Franc and after 6 weeks, there are only 77 cases to sell need we say more?
2005 Vintages: What did 2005 bring us? Simply said, 2005 gave us a very promising vintage of wines that will be made from grapes that reached optimum maturity. The drought from mid-August thru early October definitely stressed the
