There are some things you can do to remind yourself of doing certain things. The traditional string around the finger works for some people. Another method is to associate the thing you must remember to a particular phrase or word that is odd, like monkey chairs. What works for me is just outright writing in on my hand. Since I didn’t think of it at the time and only thought to write down the amount of money I had to pay at the counter, the poor gas cap was left behind. My first casualty. Thankfully, it wasn’t that black cat, hut, that’s another story for a later day.
