The Rappahannock Lions Club presented RCHS senior James Orange of Woodville its 2006 Memorial Scholarship at their regular meeting Thursday evening at the Flint Hill Public House. The Lions scholarship is awarded each year to a graduating senior who is enrolled in a two-year college. Orange received a scholarship in the amount of $1,500 to help with tuition expenses. James was selected from six applicants who applied for this scholarship. He was commended for his academic achievements in high school and for being accepted to the Potomac State College in Keyser, West Virginia.
The guest speaker at the club meeting was Anita Sherman, editor of the Rappahannock News. She shared with the assembled Members and guests what it takes to publish a paper with a circulation now over 3,500 copies a week. Sherman was quick to point out that the
