• Raffles: One of the special features of the day was the raffling off of two wonderful donated works of art. First was an original watercolor titled “Storm’s a Commin” by Nancy Keyser. The winner was Dennis King of Slate Mills. The second item was a beautiful handmade quilt by Kathy Heslep, an RHS member. The winner of the quilt was Matt Wandling of Edinburg.
Many descendents of the earliest landowner, John Quaintance, were in attendance and some have shared their genealogy with RHS.
Mr. & Mrs. Kiser were presented with a Time Line of their property along with deeds from the present back to 1812, and information on the families that lived on the land that is now theirs.
This annual event is our primary fundraiser. We are a nonprofit 501 © (3) and totally dependent on memberships and donations to keep the building at 328 Gay St. open with the lights on.
