The event begins on Monday, September 11 at 6 p.m. with dinner out-of-doors on the church property, located in Sperryville Village at 3948 Sperryville Pike.
The Honor and Prayer service will follow in the sanctuary from 7:30 to 8 p.m. A memorial dove release tentatively is scheduled to occur at 7:15 p.m.
“We’ve been blessed with beautiful weather and meaningful gatherings,” Rev. Heddleston said, recalling past 9/11 events. “This year, however, we’ve widened the circle, inviting all Rappahannock fire departments and rescue squads, their families and retirees. We want the people who serve us 24/7 to come, be served, and know they’re prayed for and appreciated.”
